Lapita Beach sits on Aore Island in the northern Sanma Province of Vanuatu, just across the water from Espiritu Santo. Sharing a similar latitude to Port Douglas in Australia, this quiet corner of the South Pacific feels a world away from busy resorts and crowded beaches.
Aore Island is often described as one of the most beautiful islands in Vanuatu. It is known for its white sandy beaches, clear turquoise water, healthy coral reefs, and the warm, welcoming nature of the local Ni-Vanuatu people. Gently swaying palms, lush tropical vegetation, and spectacular sunsets are part of everyday life here.
Lapita Beach occupies a special stretch of this island. Our private estate runs along the lagoon and includes access to a protected marine reserve, giving guests a rare combination of beachfront accommodation and excellent snorkelling right on the doorstep. Nemo Bay, one of the highlights of the area, is only a short boat ride away.
The island itself is roughly 11 kilometres long and sits in the sheltered waters between Espiritu Santo, Malo, and the surrounding channels. Formed by volcanic activity and later coral growth, Aore offers a rich natural environment — from dense tropical vegetation inland to vibrant coral gardens just offshore.
