VANUATU CITIZENSHIP RESIDENCE VISA REQUIREMENTS
These are 3 different grounds on which a residency visa may be granted apart from employment:
- FOREIGN INVESTOR – If you are applying for a residence visa on the basis of being a foreign investor
- The original or certified copy of your approval certificate as a foreign investor issued by Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority (VIPA)
- The original or certified copy of your business license issued by the Department of Customs & Inland Revenue
- LAND OWNER – If your applying for a residence visa on the basis of owner of a property in Vanuatu
- A land lease & title transfer documents indicating that you have a leasehold ownership of a property/properties in Vanuatu
- A Valuation by a Vanuatu registered property valuator that the property or properties are valued at a minimum of 10 million Vatu
- The local bank to certify that you and each person included in the application are each entitled to an income of at least 250,000 vatu per month
- SELF-FUNDED – If you are applying for a residence visa on the basis of being self-funded
- You must have an income certified by a local bank in Vanuatu of at least 250,000 Vatu per month or 500,000 Vatu per month to include your spouse or de-factor partner in the application.
RESIDENCY VISA DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
- Provide a certified colored copy of passport for you and each person included in the application
- Provide 2 ID photos of you and each person included in the application (can be done by an agent as long as colored copy of passports is provided)
- Deposit of a Security for you and each person included in the application which is equivalent to the cost of an air ticket from Vanuatu to the country that you reside (can be done by a local bank in Vanuatu which they will issue a bond to guarantee you and each member included in the application as long as cost of air tickets are provided)
- This bond mentioned in clause 3. is known as an Immigration Bank Bond and will be needed to attach with the application.
- Persons included in the application under 18 years of age must be certified by a birth certificate.
- A marriage certificate to be provided if you are a married couple.
- If you or any person included in the application is a divorcee or a widow, you must provide a divorce certificate or a death certificate.
- Provide a medical certificate for you and each person over 18 years of age certified by a medical practitioner.
- Provide an original police clearance for you and each person over 18 years from country of origin or if you have been a resident elsewhere for more than 12 months or more in the past five years, then a police clearance from place of residency.
RESIDENCY VISA FEES
These fees are Government Fees and apply across the board;
- 12 months per person over 18 years – 57,600 Vatu [$576.00USD]
- 3 years per person over 18 years – 158,400 Vatu [$1,584.00USD]
- 5 years per person over 18 years – 259,200 Vatu [$2,592.00USD]
- 10 years per person over 18 years – 426,000 Vatu [$4,260.00USD]
- Per person included in the application under 18 years – 2,880 Vatu [$28.80USD]
FOREIGN INVESTMENT
In Vanuatu we have the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority [VIPA].
VIPA are the Authority that an investor applies too, in order to be allowed to conduct business here in Vanuatu.
Once you have identified what type of business you wish to pursue here in Vanuatu then an application is lodged with VIPA detailing your plans and providing cash flow projections and outlining other requirements you may need assistance with to start your venture here in Vanuatu. The process is quite simple.
We have trained professional staff available to guide you through these requirements and as we have many years practical experience can make the transition and process that much smoother.
The application Fee for VIPA is $1,200USD and this is NON-REFUNDABLE
ADMINISTRATION COSTS:
- Residency per pax over 18 years, $1,000USD.

CITIZENSHIP
Vanuatu is currently conducting a drive to increase the number of migrants entering the country.

CITIZENSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The following prices apply in marketing the Development Support Program in all countries except Iran, Iraq, Syria or any other war zone areas.
- A person applying for Citizenship under the Development Support Program must pay an application fee of $50 USD to the Commission for his or her application.
- A person who has been granted Citizenship under the Development Support Program must pay a Certificate of Citizenship fee of $100 USD for each Citizenship Certificate that is granted under his or her application. {i.e 4 persons on the application then the cost would be $400 USD}
- Each applicant must pay a fee of $2,000 USD for due diligence checks to be made on each person in the application. {i.e 4 persons on the application would be $8,000 USD}
- Regardless of the number of applicants on the application each of the applicants must provide the following;
- a certified colour copy of their valid current passport.
- a current police clearance obtained from place of origin.
- a birth certificate.
- a Curriculum Vitae. [CV]
Passport prices as listed below
- For a single person – $150,000 USD
- For a married couple – $170,000 USD
- For a married couple and a child under 18 years of age – $185,000 USD
- For married couple and 2 children under 18 years of age –$200,000 USD
Prescribed fees
- For an extra dependent child under 18 years of age – Government fee $10,000 USD
- For any extra dependent between the ages of 18 to 54 years – Government fee $10,000 USD
- For any extra dependent aged 55 years of age and above – Government fee $10,000 USD
Our Responsibilities
- To identify, confirm and provide all documents as required by Legislation.
- To lodge with the application prior to processing all prescribed fees, Passport fees as well as Application, certification and Due diligence fees are transferred to the Designated Agents Trust Account prior to the commencement of the Citizenship Application.
- This is a requirement of the Citizenship Office and no application can proceed until proof of funds are in the Trust account of the Designated Agent.

A married couple with 2 children over 18 years of age and an extra dependant over 55.
COSTS:
Non-Refundable regardless of success of the application.

Refundable if Unsuccessful:

TOTAL to be transferred at time of lodgement of the application is $220,550USD.
When the Applicant is successful then the monies will be transferred to the Vanuatu Government and Designated Agent as prescribed by Vanuatu Legislation.
$210,000USD is refundable should the applicant be Unsuccessful

Please note that in the event the applicant cannot travel to pick up their respective Passport and Citizenship Certificate for whatever reason then the designate agent will make the necessary arrangements for an immigration or passport officer along with a representative from state law office to travel to the successful applicant. All costs to be borne by the applicant. This would be all airfares and accommodation and allowances as applicable under Vanuatu Law.
